Project RESISTANCE
This project involved obtaining clippings of campus newspapers,
radical "underground" publications and of other press media pertaining
to campus protests and demonstrations. The activity covered the period
from December 1967 through June 1973 and was both initiated and approved
by the DDS. It was intended to provide information relative to potential
threats to Agency personnel, installations and operations., and was

Iraq: Humanitarian Concerns in a Conflict
Saddam's response to conflict with the US could turn the side effects of
war into a humanitarian disaster. The greatest concern is that Saddam
might use chemical and/or biological agents in a way that increased civilian
fatalities and population displacement far beyond what a conventional war
would cause.

A spokesman for the Central Intelligence Agency today characterized
the allegation that the Central Intelligence Agency was connected in
any way with the Watergate Bugging Affair as completely untrue. "There
is no basis of truth whatsoever to this wild allegation," he said.
