SUBJECT Flight Restrictions on DRAGON LADY Aircraft
REFERENCE : DOD Message MOXH 2385, 22 July 1958, copy attached.
1, Subject message indicates results to date of investigations
being conducted at Del Rio, Texas, as a result of recent accidents
to subject aircraft. You will note that the report recommends that
the aircraft should be restricted from training flights until com-
pletion of tests.

QUESTION:
Mr. Silbert asked whether Hunt continued his ties with Bernard
Barker, referring to the fact that he is mentioned as Barker's super-
visor in 1961. Barker left the Agency in 1966. Were there any con-
tacts between 1961 and. the present?
RESPONSE:
Our record t fail to reflect any information indicating that Hunt
maintained any official ties with Bernard Barker since 1961. It is
understood that Barker acted as godfather to one of Hunt's children,

SUBJECT : CIA and Tapes

1. CBS, on the night of 29 January 19740 carried a story
that CIA was providing to a Senator a tape of a conversation
between General Cushman, then DDCI, and Howard Hunt. It went
on to say that the Agency had possessed other tapes, including
possible tapes of conversations with President Nixon, but had
destroyed them.
