Anatoliy Mikhaylovich Golitsyn (DPOB: 25 August 1926,
Piryatin, Poltava Oblast, Ukraine, USSR) was a KGB staff
officer who defected to the West while stationed in Helsinki'
in 1961.
Golitsyn joined the Soviet State Security Service in
the fall of 1945 after a short enlistment in the Soviet
Army. In the late 1940's while in Moscow, he dealt with
