In the version available as a crib this name is given as SCHULTZ (see T.N. [d]). The crib shows the r(lissing portion of the note as follows: "OSS ? has recently sent ? some agents to Austria as English agents.. .Three men in SALZBURG negotiated with them and on the same day they irere shot." ? The Russian For "emissaries" in the signalled text is PCSLANNIKI. The crib translates this phrase as "Committee of Ministers". The text omits this final bracket which it norms necenrar7 to innert at this point. VAMBERY - sec comment [vi]].and "Uplack". One is addressed to "Fcri" ?and sifsned ? "Gabor" (who, it appears frrm the JUDSON letter, is Gabor BE.THLEN). It is principally concerned with a request to appeal to the Allies to save a number of the writer's relations in Hungary. The second letter was written in French and dated September ? 22nd. According to the JUDSON letter it . is a letter from "Seto" which Rabbit had asked him to forward.
