The Valle de Cuelgamuros (formally the Valle de los Caidos or the Valley of the Fallen) in the Sierra de Guadarrama, near Madrid, Spain, is a memorial to the dead of the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939). It is comprised of one of the world's largest Catholic basilicas and the tallest memorial cross in the world.
The Sagrada Familia (Basilica and Exiatory Church of the Holy Family) in Barcelona was designed by the Catalan architect Antoni GAUDI. Construction began in 1882 and completion is hoped for by 2026. Construction is dependent on donations. The church is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The Cathedral of the Holy Cross and Saint Eulalia in Barcelona is the seat of the Archbishop of Barcelona.  It was constructed from the 13th to the 15th centuries, with the bulk of the work done in the 14th century.
