Established in 1979, the Cayman Islands National Museum occupies the islands’ oldest building, which dates from the 1830s. The museum is dedicated to preserving, researching, and displaying Caymanian heritage and holds over 8,000 artifacts, ranging from coins to a 14-foot catboat.
