1. During the Leftist Unity Conference in New Delhi 8 August 1950 the TASS
representative was heard telling Sisir Roy, head of the Bolshevik Party
of India, that the USSR wants peace but will be forced into war by the
US within the next few morths. To meet this crisis, all leftist groups
must unites

Mukherjee still expect an emeraeniay situation to arise at the end of
September or in October. Concerted activity will take place in Indo-
