ABSTRACT: Regular cheat X-ray studies were made on 70 children and adolescents
i4ith mumps who were free of other diseases. Among these cases, about 10 per cent
developed complications involving the nervous system, orchitis and pancreatitiso
In the absence of wW clinical symptoms of involvement in the lungs, an increased
interstitial marking of the lungs was found to be characteristic of mumps cases
especially those which were complicated by orchitis. A decreased air volume was
found paratracherlly and in the basal triangle in some of the cases, and marked
viral pneumor-Lia in two cases. The chpgegs disappeared without trace afte:~ some
time. Orig. art# has: 7 figures. COW

Abstract: [Authors' Hunvarian summary] The diagnostic difficulties, en-
countered in a case of interstitial emphysema which resembled pneumo-
thorax, are described. Attention is called to the differential diagnostic
difficulties encountered in cases of emphysema among infants and small
children which have become more numerous in recent years. 3 Hungarian, 1

Abstract : Ammonium glycerinate (one of the active substances in
Radix Liquititiae) reduced in rats the excretion of
C1 from the organism after excessive administration
of physiological saline. This phenomenon is not shovn
in isni "ale with remved adrenals. The conclusion vas
reached, is that the given action of the glycerinic
acid appears in the presence of ama" quantities of

Budapest, Magyar Traumatologia, Orthopaedia es Helyreallito-Sebeszet, Vol IX,
No 4, 1966, pages 254-261.
Abstract: [Authors' English sunmary modified3 In recent years, various
methods have been used for the treatment of recent, closed fractures of the
forearm-diaphysis. A short review of these methods is given. Based on their
experiences over a five year period, the results obtained by the authors with
the use of conservative treatment are reviewed and compared with the results
obtained with the Kirschner splint method. This latter, technique was used
in part with open reduction and in part with internal fixation. The treat-
ment of the isolated fracture of the forearm, fractures of the forearm occur-
ring simultaneously with multiple fractures, the technique of surgical inter-
vention and the functional results are discussed in detail. On the basis of
their experiences, the indications for conservative treatment and for sur-
gical intervention as methods of choice are outlined by the authors.

"Observations in Deliveries with Mature Hip End"
Budapest, Orvosi Hetilap Vol 107, No 24, 12 Jun 1966, pp 1130-1131.
Abstract: Techniques for successful delivery in cases where the mature
fetus is located with the hip down were discussed on the basis of li-
terature references and the experience of the authors. It was shown
that normal deliveries are possible by employing the Bracht or the
Covjanov techniques, using special forceps where manual effort is
inadequate to grasp the last-emerging head. 30 references, including
