Study of Properties of Sheepskins Used for ImitatAon of Coypu

Anuarul. lucrar. stiint, Int. Agron., 1957, 335-349.
Abstract: The properties of skins of adult lambs with fine or
set1fine wool (18 to
34 ) were studied; imitated coypu fur ("Nutriet") is produced
of these skins after
processing them by tanning, combing, clipping, dyeing and
smoothing. 80 lamb skins
of the improved sheep breed "Spanka" were studied with a view
to improve the qualit3
of the raw material for manufactilring high quality
"Nutriet". The lambs are
slaughtered 5 1/2 to 6 1/2 montas old, when they weigh not
less than 26 kg having
been fed wedL1 above the Normal. It is hhoum that the
breeding and selection of sheel
should be carried out taking into consideration the following
specified mean qualita-
tive indices in order to avoid any losses in the wool
production and of mean and mill
wool thickness - 18to26, wool density - 4000 to 5000 fiber
per sq.cm.; the unifvrmit~
and elasticity of wool and skin, as well as the satinity and
lustre of wool must be
good, wool strength, 9.36 - 0.16 g; elongation - 36-8 - 0.1%

living 18 weight - 28.2 kg; meat yied - 48%; raw skin weigt -
3.9 kg: raw skin aree
-70 square inches. Grading of the studied skins of sheep of
the improved breed
"Spanka" after their processing resulted in 57.5% of I clasa
skins, 37.6% of II
class skins, 3.8% of III class skins and :L.2% of Scrap.

Abstractl /Authors' English summary modified_7 The
article describes the
cases of 12 patients suffering from pernicious anemia
who were orallytreated
vith vitamin B12 and the intrinsic factor (Biofac). The
diagnosis was
confirmed by clinical, cytological, and biochemical
methods, and the oral
treatment was the first therapy employed. Total
recovnry was achioved in
11 out of 12 patients, this being similar to other
recoveries obtained by
parenteral usa of vitamin B12. The control examinations
of the patients
speak in favor of the preparations used. Th* remission
of one patient which
lasted already 19 months and the experiences obtained
in Denmark wilh
Biofac give hopes of ihe permanent effect. of oral
treatment o!' pernicious
anemia. The patient who failed to recover even with the
parenteral use of
vitamin B12 led to doubts of the existence of a true
pernicious anemia.
As the patient refused further examination, the proper
diagnosis of the
disease could not be established. There are 2 Yugoslav

ABSTRACT: An algorithm for numerical solution of variational
problems for functions
of two independent variables is presented. The algorithm makes
use of the method of
local variations (F. L. Chernoualko. Metod lokalnykh variatsii
dlya chislennogo
resheniya variatsionnykh zadach. Zh. vychisl. matem. i
matem.fiz., 1965, 5, 110- 4,
749--754). The variational problem is stated as: It is required
to find a function
of two variables u (XVY), defined in the domain D of the xy
plane, satisfying the
constraints u = g(XIY) on C and U,'
Y, u) E= in D,
(x, y, u, ux, u.) a G in D,

and minimizing the functional
~f(X3Y9U*U~IUY)dxdy.-
I?
The subscripts x and y denote partial derivatives; U - the
boundary of D (a closed
edge); U - a given set in three-dimensional space x, yj and u;
G - a given set in the
five-dimensional space x, y, u, up uy; f,g - given functions.
The logic of the
algorithm is broken down into specific steps which correspond
to subproCrams of a
computerized routine. Several problems of this type were
analyzed on a "Strela"
digital computer. Some example solutions are demonstrated. The

ABSTRACT., This is a continuation of earlier work (ZhETF v. 48, 34,
1965), in which
small anomalies, with frequencies 0.3 and 0.8 e*, vere observed in
the magneto-optic
spectrum of nickel. These anomalies were identified with direct
interband transi-
tions. The present article presents results of an experimental
investigation of
these anomalies in different binary alloys with nickel base and with
electron con-
centrations close to that of nickel. The equatorial Kerr effect was
measured in the
infrared region of the spectrum by means of the same experimental
setup as before.

situated at the disk edge

conclusions were arrived at: 1) About 25% flares observed

motions in "electro-

this agrees well with
conclusions of A.B, Severnyy and Ye.F. Shaposhnikov on the

some flares is ipparently closely associated with some

ABSTRACT: A study is made of the problem of establishing mechanism
for
the expansion of emissions in chromosplieric flares according to
profile shapes
C,
when the emission is a mixture of emissions expanded in various
ways. By ad i-
tion of the Doppler emission and Stark emission, or using only
Doppler emissions !
'with various AX, , the total profiles can satisfy the as sumption
that line expan-1
sions are due to moiions with non-Maxwellian distribution of

derivation of the expansion law when 6=#(, . A number of
physical parameters were determined for a typical strong solar
flare on the disk;
in the "hydrogen" region, ne = 3- 1013 cm-3 and N2 is included in
