ABSTRACT: The paper is devoted to the problem of the best design for a thin-
walled bqr. Its profile is determined in plane-polar coordinates by the functions

Euler- Lagrange equation is solved by means of the small parameter method.. 0 P by
the influence of bending on the optimum form of the twisted bar is studied. The i

:ABSTRACT: Sithor for strength or technological reasong#,p ressure vessels are very
often made in layers. They are generally thiok-wallod, and composed of a small
num,ber of layers. The purpose of the present article is to analyze the elastic
dqf orm, ation and permanent set as well as the strength of multilayored vessels whose-
streng~h-propertiea were augmented by prefiminary expansion after the deposition of
individual layers without negative allowance. It was generally ~ assumed that each
,layer constitutes a thin-wallod layer so that thq stress distribution on the wall
thickness could be taken as uniform, and that the vessel material is incompressibleo
