Abstract The action of the follovinc preparations wm studied in
vitro: diluted hydrochloric acid, vinegar, lactic acid,
formalin, creolin, thynol, lysolp resorcin, ichthyjl, beta-
naphthol, methylene blue, ftu-acillin, ethazol, and r1lenyl-
mercury-nitrate. The therapeutic duses of these prepara-
tions were mIxed with Oistil-led water up to a volume if
1,000 ml., and the resultinG solution was added to the

In a large number of subjects. a study was made of the effects of 20 Ir. injiulin s. c.
on the ECG. Such pathological signs as were alreacly present became more pro-
nounced. and certain latent modifications became manifest. Administration of
glycerol trinitrate simuitaneously with the insulin tD those patients in whom the

cells with a sensitiveness of up to 8,000 ~-Lamp. Radioactive methods are more
efficient in the determination of the thickness of metals, wear, etc Semi-
conductors are more efficient in gaseous agents, automation of industrial pro-
ceases, etc. Thus, noneof these two methods is efficient In every fteld, The-e
are 11 references: 8 Rumanian, 2 Soviet and I French.
