SIGNIFICANCE: THE FIRST IDENTIFICATION OF A PROBABLE HIGH EXPLOSIVES TEST FACILITY AT KHADEJI. (SWN) 2. REMARKS: THE PROBABLE I-IIGH EXPLOSIVES (HE) TEST FACILITY WAS IDENTIFIED UNDER CONSTRUCTION 31 NM ENE OF KARACHI ON IMAGERY OF THIS FENCE-SECURED FACILITY CONSISTS OF A CONTROL INSTRUMENTATION BUILDING, A LARGE L-SHAPED CONCRETE APRON, A POSSIBLE HE FIRING POINT, AND A POSSIBLE CABLE TRENCH. TWO LARGE .EARTHEN BERMS SEPARATE THE CONTROL/INSTRUMENTATION BUILDING FROM THE POSSIBLE HE FIRING POINT. ALSO AT TIIIS FACILITY (NOT ON GRAPIIIC) ARE THREE POSSIBLE SUPPORT BUILDINGS, THREE POSSIBLE HOUSE TRAILERS, EXCAVATIONS FOR FOUR POSSIBLE BUILDING SITES, AND A ROAD PdETWORK UNDER CONSTRUCTION. (SWN) ANALYST'S COMMENTS: A POSSIBLE CONNECTION A4AY EXIST BETWEEN THIS PROBABLE IIE TEST FACILITY AND THE NUCLEAR PROGRAM IN PAKISTAN.
