During the pontvar years, 30 poverful house-building ente:yrisbe have
been either created or rehabilitated within the system of the Ministry of
the Conetruetion Materials Industry. Ynet year they provided the ooyntry
with 670,000 square meters of living epac~. In addition, five plenty are
producing the folloving types cf heat-inoulatioa materiels: vox!-fiber
aheetb, slag feli- and m?.neral voo1Y Oae pJsat produces plyvob3 and another
turns out equipment anal, evert, parts for etandardSzed houee-buildinR ilaate.
At present, there ie an eatet,eive program of house-*uilding pleat con-
etruotion under way in Arkhangel?ek and 9vezdlovsk oblaete. Tn the near
future, the Stalingrad, 1lelidovo, Sel?teo, and?Sharkov plants will be tuned
into poverful ca?binee, with shops Lor producing heat-iaaulation and shooting
materials, such ae vood, fiber sheets, plywood, eta.
A number of plants are being mechania.ed vith a viev to increasing their
productivity,
