The manganese mines near Vara Dornei are being mechanized with machinery
and equipment sent from the USSR. Up to the present, o the

air lines, all recently imported Prom the USSR, will be used to mechanize and

stalled at "Filimon Sarbu" mine, and one each at the "Dealui Rusului" and "Or-
ate" mines.

A new shipment of Soviet goads Por Rumania, sent under the existing So-
viet-Rumanian trade agreements, has Juat been unloaded from a Soviet ship in
the port of Constants, The cargo consisted of 500 tons of steel plate and
527 tons of superphosphates.

The construction temps of the Black Sea-Danube Canal have ,just received
nex shipments of Soviet equipment and machinery. At poarta Alba, a grader and
two scrapers have been put to work and at Medgidia 100 rock drills are being
used in the quarries. Malty machine tools havA been received from the USSR and
sent to the workshops attached to the cane] project.

grains and seeds for planting (xheat, sugar beets cotton, alfalfa, and "Zhdan-
