Oise mewth after sir arr1val in ITO Germany capitulated and as a result require-

Mime" retara from Denmark and Norway I received instruotions to liquidate
the remaining RID aotivities in 120 and did so. I left Landon on 3 August
and reported to cashington on 14 August 1945.
In summary. it can be said that the Speoial aeapons Divition of RID provided
helpful assistanais to other Branohes of 088 on technical matters and in the
potentielities of RAD weapons and equipment. In addition, useful information
vas provided oath* use of demolitions and other weapons not of OBS Jrigin
or issue. It sae foowl that R&D special weapons had not been used to the
extent they moigist have if they had gotten over to the theater in quantity at
au earlier date. If it had boon possible to get them into TO sooner, in my
opiaan, it would haw been essential to provide adequate instruction in their
use and to sosd PD representatives into the field with operational people to
ftorther instruct in their use and proceed to assist in carrying out operations.
Pi %eying almott PAD representatives in the fidd, it would also have been possible
to a greeter degree to transmit the requirements and needs of operational per-
email for any twosome and equipment to the .vashbigton Headquarters.

=Nam Returnee Report: 1st Lt. Everett M. Greaser
I. Lt. Greaser brings up the familiar complaints
of too little rank in the field, and of too frequent
chan;ge of Desk Reads, two problems which, as Comdr. Katz
states, have been considered many times. Lt. Greaser
also mentions that most OSS radio equipment does not
meet the operator's requirements. Comdr. Katz has taken
this up with the Communications Branch,
2. Attached is a detailed operational report of
h.Dtp.221,1 mission into YUgoslavia.

canAidered with the CciniamicatIons Branch.
2. The above comments are not intended to disparage the
justice of Lt. Grear's remarks. The comments he makes refer
