la The Berlin headquarters of the National Front sends propa-
ganda material by mail to recipients in Western Germany:
Since the establishment of the DDR information office, names
of persons living in Western Germany have continuously been
reported to Berlin by the Communist Party machinery in Western
Germany for the purpose of compiling mailing lists of persons
in the West who are to be supplied regularly and free of charge
with N F propaganda material. Most of these persons are not
registered members of the Communist Party of Germany but are be-
lieved by that party to follow a progressive line and to be
susceptible to the ideology and propaganda of the National
Front. As an illustration, 40 persons, mostly intellectuals,
are being supplied with naterial in Coburg (M 51/0 28), in
addition to the Coburg functionaries. Communist functionaries
receive duplicates of each pamphlet with instructions to pass
on one copy. Postal delivery is made regularly once a week.
2cl The handwritten addresses on the envelopes indicate that they
are frequently written by the same persona Return addresses
stamped on the envelopes are definitely believed to be fictions.
The following return addresses were noted Mia Tanne, 45
Maueretrasse,, Berlin VV 8; Elfriede Panther, 53 Taubenstrasse,
Berlin W 8; Karl Dittmar, 35 Heinrichstrasse, Berli.nmLichten-
