must contribute. It is earmarked for the military rehabilitation of a
New China.
4. A Volunteer Corps has been organized by the unions to .ielp union members
wishing to join the Communist Amy. The "orpe guarantees that the training
and skills of the recru. is will be used by the army, and they will not be
automatically sent into 'the infantry.

abide by decisions of their union leaders, as they want to avoid Communist
persecutions. In general, they are willing to belong to a Communist union
as long as they are not in Communist territory.
