A decentralization scheme for the Zbrojovka plants is being
carried out., There will no longer be a central Zbrojovka
directorate, but the main plants will be self-administered
;arid some of the minor plants will be dependent upon theiiL,
For example, the Vsetin plant will become an administrative
entity upon which the Jablunka, Bojkovice, and Bohuslavice
plants will be. dependent a 0
A new factory building has been constructed and production
targets have been increased at the Usgtin division of the
Moravian Electric Plants (MEZ - Moravske elektricke zavody )
more than 1,500 men are employed here producing electric
motors, transformers # electric welders, and dynamometers
Electric motors of various sizes under 25 JVY and over 25 KW
are produced here. Over 70 percent of production is devoted
to motors of more than 25 KW.
a,, The total value of production of the Vsetin MEZ plant in
the first half of 1949 was 54 million Kos, Production
scheduled for the second half of 1949 is to be valued
at 120 million Kcs 0 Three hundred million Kos worth
of goods are to be produced in 1950.
b., An increase in the number of employees. to keep pace
with the increasedoutput is anticipated,.. In 1950,
1.600 are tQ be working., in 1951 the number of employees
is to be raised to 2,000# and 25,500 are to be employed by
1952
The M.EZ plant at Frenstat pod Radhostem (Radhost Mountain
P50/C 55) , together with t e of aced Skrat plant at Hulin
(Hullein = P50/0 02), has been ordered to get out 256 million
Kcs worth of production in 1949 and 360 million Kos worth in
1950,
8:, The MZ plant at Brumov is supposed to produce 60 million
Kcs worth of goods in 1949 and 80 million Kcs worth in 1950,
9.. Iron and other metals needed to produce dynamos 'are in short
supply,, The stocks on hand plus the allotment granted by the
Central Planning Council were to be sufficient until the end
of 1949, but are expected to suffice only until 15 November
1949, There are enough rare metals to last until 30 March
1950 because the MEZ and the t?KD (Ceskomoravska Kolben -Danek)
have been granted 70 percent of the 'total available saopiy,
10 Forty percent of the production of the MEZ plants goes to the
Soviet Union-. Exports of electrical equipment to ' ugoslovia
have been stopped

Comment, * Gazetteer of Czechoslovakia,, Map Series
- G.,$,GOS., 4346, Central Europe, 10250,000
lists six Moravian towns named l ohuslavice ,
The town in point probably is Bohuslavice
(Bohuslawi tz) near JJhersky Brod (Unga Tisch
Brod m P50/0 40),
The above Gazetteer lists Brumow (P50/N 23)
and Brumow (250/0 40) , The second location
probably applies in this case,,
