(Unclassified - HMS) LIAISON Received a call from Edward Russell, in the office of Representative James Jeffords (R., Vt.), who requested a professional employment application for a constituent. I told him one would be sent to him. OLC Registry was advised. 2. (Unclassified - HMS) LIAISON Sent a copy of two Agency publications, "The Soviet Economy in 1976-7+7 and Outlook for 1978," "Soviet Economic Problems and Prospects," and "CIA Publications Released to the Public Through Library of Congress DOCEX," to Harold Luks, of Senator Abraham Ribicoff's (D., Conn.) office, per his request. Mr. Luks had also asked for unclassified information on technology transfer, which we were unable to locate per CSS/NFAC. 3. (Unclassified - ELS) LIAISON Received a call from Ed Levine, Senate Select Committee on Intelligence staff, who asked if the Agency was still using U.S. foundations for funding of any other purposes connected with covert action and if there were any major international human rights groups receiving CIA money either I forwarded these questions to Don Greg 5. (Unclassified - SF) LIAISON Received a call from Dennis Miller, on the staff of the House Government Operations Committee, requesting a report on commercialization of fission plants in the Soviet Union. After speaking with NFAC/CSS, I explained to Mr. Miller that we did not have anything unclassified on the subject; that perhaps Nuclear News (which could be obtained from the Library of Congress) cou d help him.
