1, Munitions Factory No. 7, located four kilometers east of Biala Podlaska
(N 52029 E 23-08)9 on the left of the provincial road to Brest, was con-
structed in 1952 according to Soviet specifications0 In 1953'the factory was
modernized by the installation of Sellier-.tl .lot-Kolar machinery, furnished
in part by the USSR. and in part by Czech a,
2. The factory'is enclosed by a wall 2,5 meters high, 1%ire'are two entrances facing
the road-.- one for employees and passenger vehicles and one for military trucks
for loading munitions. Warehouses for explosives are located underground near
the north wall.
3, Eng, Tadeusz Jablunkowski, who has worked in various munitions factories in
the USSR., became director of the factory in y 1953, Eng. Kazimierz
Wojdzinski is chief chemist.

40 The factory operates on three shifts. The
firstshift,is from0600to 1400
hours., the second shift from 1400 to 2200 hours., and the 'third shift from
2200 to 0600 hours,
5, The factory manufactures infantry' ammunition exclusively, as,followsn
ammunition for 7062-mm. rifles., for 7065-mn0 and 9-man, pistols, for 7,62-
mm. submachine guns,, for 20-mm0 guns, and for :12.5-anlm, aircraft guns,
6. Ther..q are 28 power machines in one large section of the factory for the
preparation of brass cartridge cases. Th!machines produce a case per
'second, except those for 1205-and 20 man, guns. About 800 cases per hour
are produced for these larger guns0

70 Approximately 80 percent of production goes to the USSR; the remainder is for
the"-'Polish Armed Forces0 Shipment to the USSR is made by truck to Brest which
is about 65 kilometers from the factory0 The final destination of the
ammunition shipped is not known. Shipment i made every fourteen days after
careful examination of the merchandise. Cartridges . shipped to the USSR do not
contain powder.
8. The raw materials used in the manufacture of cartridges are supplied by
various plants in Poland and the USSRO
