CABLE The following is a sum[ary of Soviet military activities observed prior to 2 January: 1. Generals Individual trainiig at posts and firing practice by tank, artillery and anti- aircraft units continued. he rate of arrival of anti-aircraft artillery increased. The shipment of new trucks, which started in early November, continued into the first half of December. 2. Training and TrooD. Movements: The bulls of the troops which had been absent from Gr1 . had returned to their posts by 19 December. A train with eleven T-34/85 tanks, two 85 mm AT guns, three trucks and three boxcars with troops went from Gotha toward Erfurt on 13 December. A train composed of 13 converted boxcars, 14 boxcars and four flatcars was die-4 patched. from Potsdam to Chemnits on 17 December. One boxcar with troops and five 85 ma AL guns, presumably a firing detail of the 32nd ALL division being shipped to Wustrow, was sent from Frankfurt/Oder to Neuruppin on 19 December. Anti-aircraft firing at Asrik in- volving planes from Puetnits-Daagarten has been conducted weekly from Monday through Wednesday since mid-December. A train with six T-34/85 tanks going from the direction of Riess toward'Dreiden passed Priestewits.on 20 December. Four 152 mm gun howitzers, five caterpillar tractors, two trucks and four boxcars with troops were entrained at the Wildpark railroad station for shipment to Altengrabow on 24 December. The dispatch of four converted boxcars, three boxcars and 18 flatcars from Wildpark to Altengrabow was ob- served on the same day.
