1. On 14 October 1954) Dobrivoje Radosavijevic, chairman of the State Commission
for Religious Affairs in Belgrade, in a speech to representatives of the Serb-
ian Orthodox Association of Priests, expressed the dissatisfaction of the
Yugoslav Government with the Roman Catholic Church. He was referring to com-
plaints by the high Catholic clergy on the oppression of their Church which
opposes the state-supported associations of priests.
2. On 11 October 1954) Bishop Franz Francicl was fined 50,000 dinars because he
told priests in a circular letter that the Catholic Church was faced with great
difficulties because it had no schools, organizations or newspapers. He had
also stopped four priests from joining the state-supported association of
priests.
