scription to all eight FBIS Daily Reports about three weeks ago and had not
received any yet. After checking with FBIS Liaison, I called Ma. Castellanos
back and told her that since we had no record with FBIS of her request that
we would initiate service which would take effect in about 10 days.

who has been working on clearing our various reports on criminal justice
information bills, called to say that he had some comments from Justice
Department on our report which he would be forwarding to met.
2. (Unclassified - DFM) LEGISLATION Called George Gilbert,
OMB,. to report that the Agency agreed with the Administration's position
in the State Department's letter to the Senate e n.
on S. 1341, to establish a 200-mile Marine Pollution Control Zone. The
letter had been reviewed b of OGCR. STAT
3. (Unclassified - DFM) CONSTITUENT Dropped off at the
office of Representative Norman Mineta (D., Calif.), for. Dan Murphy,
a listing of people suing the Agency for alleged illegal domestic activities.
OGC provided the list. STAT
4. (Unclassified - DFM) LIAISON Met with Everett Bierman, on the
staff of the House Committee on International Relations, and passed along the
information he had requested earlier in the week on

Assistant, House International Relations Committee, called and said the
Chairman wanted to know, immediately, if the Agency had "different area
desks for Africa--is North Africa included in, the South African desk? "
After checking, I told her they were separated.
10. (Unclassified - JMD) ADMINISTRATIVE John Lepley, Purchasing
Clerk, House of Representatives, called to advise he had mistakenly received
an invoice which belongs to CIA. I told him to send it to me and I would get
it in the right hands. (This was sent to 604 Key Building upotTAT
11. (Unclassified - LLM) CONSTITUENT Called Mark Bronson,
Caseworker in the district office of Senator John Tunney (D., Calif.), and
closed out their request on behalf of a former contract employee STAT
I I I told Bronson to advise to contact the STAT
Civil Service Commission in about 45 days to resolve a creditable service
matter. Bronson will call us if there are any other problems. No further
action is required with Senator Tunney's office,
12. (Unclassified - LLM) CONSTITUENT. In response to her
request, provided Margaret Keller, in the office of Representative Gilbert
Gude (R., Md.), suggestions for responding to questions raised by a.
constituent concerning the Agency's budgetary and appropriations process.
13. (Confidential - LLM) LIAISON Les Janka, NSC, called and
advised that the material we had sent him on the M a. r uez (Post Mortein
and Situation Reports) were being sent to Dr. Kissinger. Janka was highly
complimentary of the Post Mortem but felt it had more than may be
necessary to respond to Chairman__Johu Sparkman's (D. , Ala.) letter
Dr. Kissinger and the Director will discuss this matter before the Director
meets with Chairman Sparkman.
