5. 1 -1 Met with Frank Slatinshek, Chief Counsel,
House Armed Services Committee, and reviewed with him the letter to
Re resen.tative Edward I. Koch (D. , N. Y.) concerning CIA training of
Slatinshek had no problems with the letter. I also
told latins e that we were inviting Representative Bray (R. , Ind. ) out
to Headquarters to see the Cuban Missile Crisis display and for lunch.
Slatinshek noted that now that Bray is the senior Republican, it is a very
good idea to meet with Bray.
6. Received calls from Security
Office, DIA? and Agency Security ice cerning
a request received by them from Dr. Albert Hall, Assistant Secretary for
Defense (Intelligence), as to whether Senators Stennis (D. , Miss. ), Symington
(D. , Mo.), Jackson (D. , Wash.), Goldwater (R., Ariz.), and Dominick
(R. , Colo.), and Ed Braswell, Chief Counsel, Senate Armed Services
Committee, have been exposed to certain compartmented information. I
told both individuals that the Senators and Braswell have been exposed at
various times.
7, I I Deliveredto Chairman George Mahon, House
Appropriations Committee, in his office at the Capitol, a personal letter
from the Director.
8. I I Met with Representative William Bray
(R. , Ind.) and arranged with him to visit Headquarters tomorrow for lunch
and to view the Cuban Missile Crisis display.
9. Delivered Jack Maury's letter of 29 January
concerning the training to the office of 25X1
Representative Edward I. Koch (D. , N. Y. ).
