6. (Unclassified - LLM) Bill Hogan, Counsel, House Armed Services
Committee called and explained that the Committee will be taking testimony
from I land asked if we had a copy of emorandum of
recommendation to the President. I told Hogan, and later confirmed with
Mr. Warner, that whateve aterial we had had been made available
in Volume II of "Documentation Provided by CIA, 1 June 1973, " which we STATINTL
had given to the Committee. I reminded Hogan tha ad appeared
before the Senate Armed Services Committee and he will e checking with
Braswell or Woolsey.
7. (Unclassified - LLM) In response to Mr. Warner's alert, spoke
with Karen Skrivseth in Justice and Bill Skidmore, Office of Management
and Budget, concerning certain Justice Department comments in connection
with the espionage sections of the revision of the Criminal Code. It appears
that Skidmore determines which Executive agencies review these comments
and Skrivseth deals only with the substantive matter. I told both of them
that we did not want to interject ourselves at this late hour, but we do want to
be sure that appropriate officials are aware of the Agency's position in this area.
