Material at the TOP SECRET/ CODEWORD level was presented. The transcript was taken by the Official House Reporters. II 2. Chairman Joseph P. Addabbo (D., NY) presided. Present from the Subcommittee were: I-I John Murtha (D., PA) Ronald Ginn (D., GA) Norman Dicks (D., WA) Jack Edwards (R., AL) Ralph Preston Pete Murphy Jim Van Wagenen John Plashal Sandy Gilbert Major General James L. Brown, Assistant Director for JCS Support, and Senior Intelligence Analyst, DIA, were present but did,, present a formal testimony. STAT STAT STAT STAT STAT 4. After the Chairman's opening statement, Representative Murtha spoke about an article in the Washington Post on 10 March which r lted from the leak of a Presidential Finding on Central America The STAT Director said that we deplored it and were checking with the NSC to try and Baker. The Director made brief introductory remarks and then licalafn gave a rundown on the guerrilla and government military situation. STAT She outlined the several guerrilla groups are their strengths and areas of ODeration. She described the type of camp and the number that have been identified They were, she said, patterned after the Cuban model.
