1. I discussed with the Director my proposal to move OSI
lock, stock, and barrel into DD/R. He approved. I have not
talked to Cline or Scoville about this and if I do not get a chance
to do so before Thursday, wish you would do it. Under no circum-
stances is there to be any diminution of liaison, source materials,
analyses, etc. I expect a major hassle again so please keep me
clued in.
2. Mr. McCone is most anxious to get the CIA Research
Board operating again and to have it adequately staffed and used by
the entire Agency. Please take a reading on the present status of
this.
