I am writing to inform you personally about inter-
national travel I plan to undertake later this fall in
connection with my responsibilities as Attorney General. I
have enclosed a tentative itinerary and meeting schedule for
the proposed trip, which will take me to areas of great
importance to the development of our policies and programs
concerning such high-priority items on the Department of
Justice agenda as narcotics trafficking and refugee matters.
Members of my staff and officials of the Department of
Justice have contacted State Department and CIA
representatives and are working with them in developing
plans for the trip. In view of the range of important
issues which may come up, I would be very pleased to meet j

respect to matters of which we ought to be aware.
