NFAC offices are preparing contributions to the DCI's upcoming Worldwide Congressional Briefing. Of Interest This Week ? EURA provided State with a paper on Soviet economic leverage over Poland; a copy was given to the Vice President, who praised it. ? In response to a request from Ambassador Kirkpatrick, OGI provided an analysis of the threat to the independence of UN specialized agencies from Global Negotiations. ? An analyst from EURA is visiting bankers in New York and Chicago this week to discuss East European debt problems. ? On 4 December, EURA hosted a seminar and panel discussion on political demography in the Iberian peninsula with the participation of outside experts and other representatives from the Intelligence Community. At the request of State, OGI's terrorism group reared an update of the unclassified paper on international terrorism 25X1 Looking Ahead ?
