OPERATIONS ATTACHMENT FOR PARAGUAY
MONTHLY REPORT, JUNE 1981
1. The LATIN circuit was down for 8 hours on 7 June.
2. Argentine magazines LA SEMANA and VISION were dropped
from coverage due to unproductivity.
3. Since LATINAMERICAN WEEK in English has not been
very productive, the bureau subscription to that publication
has been allowed to lapse.
4. U.S. Embassy Lima has asked for a 1 month trial receipt
of the bureau file on Peru. Trial period began 9 June.
5. Emergency frequency cards for each bureau target country
were prepared by the bureau cruising monitor. These will be
?automatically checked in the event of breaking developments
within a country..

ENGINEERING MONTHLY REPORT
PARAGUAY BUREAU
June 1981
1. Work has begun on rewiring the cruising monitor position
and the reconfiguration of the console racks. The cruising
monitor is workin out of main radio while work is being done
on the console. is key man on the project. STAT
3. I ui s conducting long STAT
wire and oop antenna experiments, according to `Headquarters
MHQ-1070. Preliminary results have been forwarded to Washington.
4. In trying to capture Bolivian and Peruvian MW stations,
the experimental long wire antenna has been moved to approximately
240 degrees. Results will be forwarded to headquarters as
soon as possible.
5. A complete Bureau Block wiring diagram was sent to Washington.
6. The remote system was down from June 3 to June 24 due to
malfunction of the Modem Group 2 Unit of the Farinon Microwave.
Headquarters forwarded a replacement unit and the bureau returned
malfunctioning parts to Washington.
7. The following equipment was received from headquart
during the month: Hewlett-Packard 427A voltmeter/.
