Three hundred crates of factory equipment, some as heavy as 33'tons and as
large as 150 by 150 by 100 centimeters, have been received in Szczecin (Stettin)
harbor, The origin of the cargo. is Germanyo
2, The following rail movements have been reported in. the Olsztyn (Allenstein) region:
a;, '3 May 1952s twenty-one cars and 18 cars consisting of military equipment
for polygon field training. The training polygon is one kilometer from
Nidzica (Neidenburg -0 53/ W 03)p
b, 7 May 1952: thirty-one cars of engineers, ten guns, ten vehicles, ten
military pontoons,
c, 8 May 19522 tirenty cars with 20 vehicles, ten military cars, one passenger
car with nurses and wives; also on the same day, 51 cars with 14 guns
(about 120 mm), 20 vehicles, one hospital car, miscellaneous military
supplies;,en route from Olsztyn to Muszaki (Muschaken - R WE 71),
3. In Biestrzykowice (Eckersdorf) 10 to 12 cars of.military equipment, all well-
covered,'have been noted each week. The cargo appears to be in transit through
Namyslow (Namslau P 52/C 92)
4,. Between 28 April and 7 May, several trains of two to five cars each have arrived
in Olsztyn from Zurawiec (Schwandorf - P 51/H 64), The cars contained communications
equipment belonging to military unit 41450
50, A transshipment depot is being built in Bieniasze ( S 54/ B 63),

6. A motorized unit from the Warsaw garrison-went to Orzysz (Arys - R 54/A'66) )
for polygon training. With them were 48 tanks of various sizes. The training
polygon is located at Muszaki,. Among other arrivals were trains with 36 light
pontoons from Olsztyn and another three trains with 28 heavy and 42 light pontoons.
7. On 19 May, a Russian train of 26 cars arrived from Germany and headed for Brest.
It contained 900 tons of electrical equipment, including a large transformer
occupying an entire station platform.
8. On May 22, a Russian train passed through Brest en:route to Germany with a cargo
of 36 large cisterns.
9. A large number of boxes enveloped in thick pieces of tin and bound with wire
have been arriving at Szczecin. Some were loaded on the Russian vessel NAVA.
On 7 April, 150 tons of these boxes were loaded; they carried the label "factory
parts". Twenty-four tons were loaded on the vessel ISKRA,' which also took 4,000
tons of cement and 800 tons of crates to the Soviet Union. Destination is unknown.
10. On 6 May, the Polish vessel SAN loaded 230 tons of caoutchouc 'Vi t bthec~ t 2L-,he
Baterda port: (sic), The RYAZAN took on 3,000 tons of German cement destined
for the Soviet Union.
11. Five to six vessels arrive in Szczecin with iron ore each month. Some come from
Finland. The ore is unloaded at Szczecin where it is processed at the steel mill.
12. From time to time, Soviet vessels unloadcgrain in Szczecin. The grain is

usually sent to Germany.
The. Polish vessel NAREW was damaged during the month of May when it was fired
upon by a Soviet vessel for straying from a:navigation lane,
