of Photographic Information
1. The attached memorandum from the MCI concerns Agency actions
on certain USIB-approved recoe a tions of the Critical Collection
Problems Coeeaittee?s study of the China intelligence problem. It
assigns primary responsibility to the /I for Agency Implementation
of A datiou C -- that dealing with the need to exploit photo-
graphic iafooation more fully for basic area analysis and for
developing general analytic and operational aids. Within the MI,
the Collection Guidance Staff has been given general moultorine
responsibility for the several 20/I assignme nts.
2. Since this a recoswsendation C concerns , ?
follow u on ency actions connected with it,
and efforts underway to produce various basic research
on oks, maps, and special operational or analytic aids.
3. We are tasked to report to U813,, through the 9DCI, by
3 September 1965 what actions are underway on topics concerned with
the various recommendations. Could you let se hares a report on this
specific re commendation by SO August? If you have any questions,
