The synthetic targets are to be designed so that the
laboratory acceptance criteria and targets can be stimulated
by, ground targets photographed from orbital attitude. Edges
are to be long enough and the areas adjacent to the edge
large enough to allow an acceptable trace of the edge.
Statistically controlled experiments are to be conducted on
the synthetic targets. The photographs from engineering
passes are to include ruaways, buildings, etc. from which
ground truth can be readily determined and correlated.
The edges selected from mission photography are to be as
similar as ;Tactical to those se/octed on engineering
passes.
?The data is to be collected both with the same caner*
over all targets and with different cameras. Ito fk4mml
are to be traced in the *identical manner and as nearly
as possible by the same people an those included in
