JACK ANDERSON: Will Moscow switch sides in the Middle
East?
I will tell you tomorrow's headlines today right after
this message.
Soviet weapons have been blamed for Arab losses in
the M i d d l e East but the K rem l i n says its weapons worked fine.
It is the Arabs who used them who are to blame.
I predict that the Russian leaders wi 11 become dis-
enchanted with their Arab allies and eventually wi l l switch sides.
Let me quote from a top secret and extremely substantive
CIA document: a growing number of Soviet officials in Moscow favor
relations with Israel, arguing that the absence of Soviet/Israeli
diplomatic ties favor Washingtonts Middle East diplomacy.
