support of the recently concluded joint exercise OCEAN VENTURE
82.
The exercise, one of the most massive and important in the
Caribbean Basin in recent years, was conducted partially in
support of President Reagan's Caribbean initiative. As a
landmark in terms of such exercises, real-world intelligence and
information was used routinely to support operational
decisions. Events as they actually occurred were briefed to the
Joint Task-Force 140 Commander, RDAM McKenzie.
