e. Finally, what do we see coming down the pike in
E1 Salvador, looking ahead in terms of the insurgent-
activities, the government's ability to carry out attacks
against the insurgents and the prospects for successful
elections at the end of March.

the Direc or on Central America which can be used as the basis
for an overall statement. This presentation has been given to
the HPSCI but not to Speaker O'Neil. Therefore, the main
emphasis of the presen ions next week should be on the above 25x1
updated material. I Iwill also provide the Director copy of his memorandum to Judge Clark 25x1

no later than 3:.00 p.m. Monday 8 February. The Director will
look at it Monday evening and will get back with any further
questions. Because of the Director's schedule Tuesday morning,
however, he will no in the building. Therefore if you can
get the material_ to sooner, he may be able to get a reaction 25x1
from the Director Mon ay afternoon. Therefore, if at all possible,
please get the update to by noon on Monday. 25x1
