Fitzwater Deputy Director for Administration SUBJECT: Weekly Report for Period Ending 10 December 1982 1. Progress reports on tasks assigned by DCI/DDCI: None. 2. Items/events of major interest: a. Three representatives from the National Security Agency's Data Processing Operations Group are currently visiting with the Office of Data Processing (ODP) in relation to a planned program to exchange ideas and information between the two organizations. b. The SAFE Monthly Status Review meeting is being held at Headquarters on 10 December. c. On 8 December the Deputy Director for Administration and the Director of Data Processing met with Messrs. Henry McDonald and Ray Dunkle of the House Appropriations Committee Surveys and Investigations Team which is investi- gating the SAFE Project. d. The Applications Division, ODP, moved I during 2 - 4 December. f. A recent change, approved by the Director of Finance regarding the payment administration of copier contracts, was implemented on 1 December. This new procedure will eliminate the handling of 300 to 500 separate invoices per month by Finance and Logistics personnel. g. During 3 - 6 December representatives of the Psychiatric Operations Division, Office of Medical Services, addressed an Office of Naval Intelligence training course on "The Psychology of Treason" and a Foreign Service Institute seminar on "Hostage Survival." 1,0 71 IN T ELI.IGENCE SOURCES OR ME11i-IODS INVOLVED SECRET 25X1 25X1 j. On 2 December 14 new security officers graduated from the Special Agents Training Course and reported to their new assignments. k. A security awareness briefing was provided to 250 General Services Administration employees on 3 December by the Office of Security's Security Education Group. 1. The Leadership Seminar, consisting o f a full class of 24 students, began on 5 December. m. Senior Operations Development Course IV is completing its 13th (and final) wee n. On 30 November representatives from the Office of Training and Education met with personnel from the Naval Facilities Engineering Command to discuss construction 25X1 3.
