E. Hineman Chairman, Intelligence Producers Council SUBJECT: IPC Activities (U) 01 1. National Intelligence Topics: Inputs to the 1982 NITs have been received from State, DoE, JCS, Commerce, and Treasury. DoD and NSC responses have not yet been received. (U) 2. SRP Recommendations From Cuba/Soviet Brigade Post Mortem: A status report on Community actions relative to these recommendations has been prepared and disseminated to NFIB members. (S) 3. Analyst Training: The IPC is examining the benefits and feasibility of the production agencies jointly sponsoring and participating in analyst training programs. (U) 4. Third World Intelligence Seminar: The Chairman of the NIC will chair this seminar, which is being planned for fall of 1982. (U) 5. NIEP: The IPC will sponsor a working group to advise the NIEPS on analytical and data needs. (S) 6. Consumer Survey: The findings from this survey of intelligence users in the previous administration is in the final draft stages. A preliminary briefing was provided to John McMahon. (C) R. E. ineman
