REFERENCE: Letter from Gilbert A. Robinson, 22 Feb. 1982
1. Thank you for your fetter of 22. February. I share your
belief that the European tour'"-~`of the USG briefing teams, and its
use of visual documentation of Cuban involvement in the military
buildup in Central America was an important step in sensitizing
world leaders to this problem.
2. We are currently reviewing a large number of materials,
particularly aerial photographs, to determine which can be made
available for briefings. I believe this review will go a long
way to meeting your needs. After a strategy is developed for
the use of the current materials now being reviewed, we could
reexamine whether your requests for specialized briefings for
selected audiences will still be required.
