Subject: Assignment Plans
Your present tour roll ends in July 1967, and we must
therefore make plans for your next assign:tent. We would like to
offer you the following choices:
a) Extension of your present tour up to one year
without home leave;
b) Home leave and return to
for a second tour; 25X1
c) Reassignment to headquarters at the end of your
present tour (or with a short extension as described below).
Should there be some outer assi;nment for which you would
like to be considered, )lease lot die know.
If you want to return to Headquarters in 1967, it would be
very helpful to PUIS if you would extend to about I September.
't'his would give the Editorial Division the benefit of your
replacement's services through the greater part of the su :mer.
You undoubtedly remiNaber our difficult personnel situation during
the summer months in Headquarters.
Please discuss this matter with your bureau chief so that h}e
may advise me of your decision by teletype message.
