1. On 214 January 1952, the Lu lkri e ;sscbule in ~Iot ,sche-: eixdorf, Dresden, was
occupied by an air force unit and another unit of about 1, 000 troops who
wore black-bordered red epaulets and maintained a I er:nel of trained dogs.
!*1e windows of all troop quarters c.,cre fully lighted in the evenin . There
was almost no trainii-i activity on the adjacent dr _ll around during the
previous days.
On 24 January, Vie fer:.:ar.n soering I:aserne on the east 'side of Koerigsbruecker
Strasse and the former veterinary hospital were occupied by about 1, 200 troops
who wore red-bordered black epaulets, including eerie with tank insignia, The
barracks installation was brightly lighted at dusk. There was almost no
training activity in the billeting area dur r_g the previous days. On 12 January,

wore red-bordered black epaulets, including sore with tank insignia. The
