THIS IS UNEVALUATED INFORMATION 1e The Central Supply and Service Command of the ?,evolutionary Military Council received orders that beginning in February 1952 the quality of staple and sub- sidiary foods for officers and men in front-line areas should be improved, Troops stationed in China were considered defensive, so the improvement was to apply only to the Volunteers' Army troops in Korea. Rations were as follows: a. Hsiao tsao ('J which applied to cadres of division grade or higher: A staple ration of 28' Lael.s per man per day, consistin - entirely of fine grains, and a su sidiary food allowance of J21:1' 6L 9000 per man per month.
