The only military quarters observed in Apolda (! 52/J 67) during the period
from 7 to 9 January 1952 vas a three-story building near the railroad station
-which was occupied by about 50 soldiers who wore red-bordered black epaulets
Local residents said that these troops were detached from a unit in Weimar
tenant but no sentry was observed in front of the building m Truck
Ias also seen in front of the building.
