When the North Yiangsu Air Base Command was established, Huaiyin (119._05, 33-35)
Airfield was placed under its control and classed as an auxiliary field because
it lacked facilities to handle bombers. The East China-Command has decided to
expand the field's facil ties and extend its runways. On 15 January Chief of
Construction LIU Ming ( 4 1 F fu) and Chief of Administration LIN ( ) of the East
China Air Satply Service Command were sent to inspect the field. Construction
is to begin In, April.
