There are daily exercises with various types of arniorw:d vehicles,
self-propelled anti-tank guns, amphibious tanks and observation
care of the old German type, as well as numerous Ta34'9o
7o The strength of the Volkepolizei units in both barracks is now
about 2500 men, The armament and. equipment has been steadily
improved. The rifle companies are carrying out their formal
training according to the German manual.
8? The combat instruction of the rifle companies is limited at
this time to exercises in platoon and coi1ipany units. Special

The people trained for sabotage jobs have partly gone to West

At the Warnow Yard work is continuous on the high pressure
installations of the three large passenger shipsd They are
being equipped very luxuriously. There has been an extraor-
dinary wastage of material through continuous small acts of
sabotage, such as burning swastikas into wood paneling,
painting words and bulkheads, etc.
