The students were told in Ogre that their subversive actions would greatly contribute to the final victory of Bolshevism. 3. About 2,000 men,inc~uding about 90 officers, attended the instruction course c. PW were sent to the Ogre instruction courses on a voluntary basis. A propaganda campaign to recruit students for the course was conducted in several Phi camps. It was stre,sed that participants in an instruction course had pros- pects of early release; it is believed this announcement was responsible for about 50 percent of the volunteers: d. Subjects included the history of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union (Bolshevist), German philosophy, Gean an histor y, the international situation, the possibility of the use of atom bombs by the Western Powers and the Soviet Union. e. Graduates were assigned special missions in the discharge campr.in Frankfurt/Oder when released. All Ps who went to the Western Zones of Germany were to act as saboteurs4at their places of employment, and to influence their fellow work- men to strike and to participate in demonstrations. IQomment: The statements by the former PWs agree, with information from other sources that some of the PWs who attended Antifa Schools and similar institutions were assigned certain missions, and that the KPD is contacting graduates from these instruction courses.
