1. 1 concerned about the increased number of regular
curring reports prepared t the Machine Records Division't Office
of the Comptroller. The number of reports increased from 350 in
354 to 475 in 1956.
2. It is possible that reports required in previous years
mjy not be essential today and should be discontinued. The number
of copies of reports fox'mer4 required may no lo er be necessary,

which reports could eise3y be consolidated.
3. It in important that the Age establish the least pos-
sible number of reports Bch ll produce required data. To ob-
tain this objective I am making Office Beads and Staff Chiefs
concerned to critics review an their report requirements.
