SALT verification. ~cliscussed all Soviet-systems to be
covered under a SALT II treaty and gave an evaluation or our
ability to monitor important aspects of each. Another meeting
on SALT scheduled for NPIC earlier in the day was cancelled
because of a Bill Miller schedule conflict.

on Friday, 3 November in his office. Arrangements will be
made-for the other Commissioners to review the same material..

Station Conference. Mr. Latimer's remarks were well received
by the group and I believe that Mr. Latimer benefited from

informed me he would be at Headquarters tomorrow to finish
his review of Vietnam cables regarding the evacuation of
Kantum and Pleiku Provinces in 1975. I informed Ford we had
no information on an American missing in the Pacific in an
Air Force plane crash, b China.
I suggested Ford contact at DIA
and gave him the phone num er. or agreed to do so.

Senate S iiTntelligence staff, regarding a 25X1
number of planned meetings. We agreed to 29 November at
10:00 a.m. for a meeting on the Hill regarding terrorism in
response to Chairman Birch Bayh's (D., Ind.) letter of 19 October.
We also agreed to 9 November for the following meetin s:

Library of Congress, and showed him examples of noncompartmented
Agency publications an Soviet space activities which we will
be providing to him on a regular basis. Dr. Sheldon said
he felt such publications should satisfy his requirements.

room far Dr. Sheldon's review under existing arrangements.
T informed Dr. Sheldon that we would send letters to NASA
and to Chairman Don Fuqua (D., Fla.), Ho,.use Science and
'Technology Subcommittee on Space Science and. Applications,
confirming the a-rrangements, including prior CIA review
of any unclassified studies that Dr. Sheldon may publish
based on CIA information.
