Five unidentifed circular objects in a line resting on their transverse axes. These objects range in diameter from 20' to 25' and appear to have imagery resembling support spiders. See annotation 1, 0 25X 2. Unidentified circular objects in random orientation about this area. 3. "PM-124" Class YRSN (LOA approx 310') at fitting-out quay. The approximate length plus proportioned areas from the bow to the super- structure, the superstructure, and superstructure to the stern equate to this class. This ship was previously berthed at the fitting-out mole near the entrance to the launching basin. See annotation 6, 4. Large floating crane at the fitting-out quay. This crane was previo~ositioned near the gate to the launching basin. See annotation 3, Probable KRUPNYY Class DDGS hull (LOA approx 450'). See annotation 5, 6. Upright floating security screen. 7. Unoccupied transporter dock LOA a rox 465'). Since the previous mission , and with the appearance of an "E-II" Class SSGN (annotation 8), this transporter dock and the probable KRUPNYY hull have switched positions at the fitting-out mole. See annotations 4 and 5, 8. "E-II" Class SSGN (visible waterline length approx 380') berthed between the fitting-out mole and the probable KRUPNYY hull. Hull outline, lack of a large-sail, three white dots on foredeck, and three sets of blast deflectors aft of the apparent after edge of the sail contribute to this identification. This is the first positive sighting 25X of a submarine at Komsomolsk sincel (see annotation 2, CIA/ 25X PIR-67196). 25X Approved For Release 20 56ECRFkDP78T05161A001400010042-8 Approved fi or Release 200-IffiALI k 9. AMGUEMA Class Cargo Icebreaker (LOA approx 440') berthed along the south side of the fitting-out mole near the gate to the launching basin. The masts on this ship have not as yet been erected and are visible lying on the deck. See annotation 2, A. The two new probable fabrication buildings appear to be nearly complete. See annotation A, B. Construction is continuing at the western extremity of the transverser. See annotation B, C. Footings for a new building. The function of this building cannot yet be determined.
