Supersonic Transports: Soviet and Non-Communist Efforts
The DCI noted the Scientific Intelligence Memorandum on
"Supersonic Transport Aircraft Development in the USSR" and asked that
a brief memorandum be prepared for external distribution setting forth
Soviet and non-Communist efforts in the field of supersonic transports.
It would appear that what he wants is a balance sheet so that he can call
the attention of the policy makers to the fact that there is a horse race in
this field. Could he have a memorandum on this by 27 November.
